Temporary Residence visa
About 35 million people visit Canada every year to enjoy the many opportunities our country offers. Whether it is for business, visiting family and friends or tourism, Canada is often the country of choice for many people around the world. Depending on your country of residence, you must meet certain entry requirements.
Depending on where you came from and the reason for your visit, you will need to meet certain entry requirements. Visitors to Canada, including students and workers, may require a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to enter Canada. The federal government of Canada has also determined that some foreign countries do not require a TRV to enter Canada on a visit, we refer to these countries as visa-free countries.
Wherever you live, all visitors must meet the following requirements to enter Canada:
- Passport or other valid travel documents
- Good health (ie citizens of some countries require a medical examination)
- Sufficient money to support yourself during your journey
- Be acceptable to Canada
You may also need a visitor visa. Although citizens of some countries do not require a visa to enter Canada, all others do. We can help you determine your eligibility to travel to Canada and help you prepare all the necessary documents.
